Eve Sneak Peek 1

Allow me to introduce Eve.  Eve is a senior at South High School and a member of the school’s cross country team.  I was thrilled when Eve told me she wanted an urban session for her senior portraits – those are my favorite!  The colors, textures and unique backdrops of a city environment are so fun to play with.   Despite having a track meet the morning of her photo shoot, Eve had no problem trading her running shoes for her rockin’ wardrobe and hitting the streets of downtown Denver for a killer senior session.

Chalk One Up For Art

We spent a marvelous morning on the streets of Denver for the annual Chalk Art Festival.  This event features more than 200 professional and amateur artists who spend hours on their hands and knees over the course of two days, transforming Larimer Square into a bright and colorful street museum, adorned in vivid pastel chalks.

Meet Maddie.  Easy-going & personable, Maddie wins the award this year for the quickest turn around between the date she first contacted me and the date we did her senior session:  one week!  That is a rarity this time of year, but she was anxious to squeeze her session in before school started and I just happened to have a time slot open that fit into her schedule.  It’s awesome when things work out that way!

Because Maddie wanted a natural setting and she was scheduled for late afternoon, I anticipated a full-sun scenario where we’d be working primarily in the shade or capturing backlit images.  However Mother Nature had her own thoughts, Continue reading →
