Meet Nico.  A cross country runner and member of the Arapahoe High School yearbook staff, Nico has his sights set on applying to the University of Southern California this fall to study business, before moving on to law school someday.  You’ve got to love an eighteen-year-old with such high aspirations!

Nico and I met late in the afternoon yesterday, when the Colorado sky was hazy with smoke that has blown down from the devastating wildfires in Montana and Oregon.  The thick blanket of smoke caused the sun to hang like an orange globe in the sky, casting a warm golden light throughout his session.  The result was the perfect ‘golden hour’ lighting throughout his session – a truly rare event on the Colorado front range!
